Each of the fairies has something in common. They have wings like a soft cloud and a bright glow all around them. They live in the forest at the end of the waterfall.

Be careful when you walk in the forest.
You will be warned by the queen of the dark.
She seems to be everywhere, even in the waterfall.
She can shimmer through anything.

The fairies love her because they know that
Queen Ohaira protects her children.
Her eye wings are beautiful but they’re deadly
to the humans who trespass on the fairies’ lair.

Not all fairy dust is sweet.
Hope is the sleeper of the forest, the goodnight of the land. She lends her grace to the fairies to help them sleep well at night. Her hair is blue like the sky, her skin white like the clouds, her eyes green like the forest, her dress dark blue like the night sky.

Fairy chorus: “Sleep, sleep as you hear the sweet sound of heaven in your ear. Harmony and peace are everywhere.”

“Good night, goodnight, my fairy friends”
“My name is Velvet, the helper of the forest, the hope of the land. To the seekers of fairies, I bring the smells of lavender.”

Fairy chorus: “What’s in your hands, Velvet?”

“The orb of power.”

Fairy chorus: “Why do the fireflies follow you?”

“They help protect the land.”

Darla is everyone’s favorite fairy. She keeps things to herself and hides in the forest all the time because she doesn’t trust strangers in the forest. She knows nothing about their ways—if they will cause hurt or if they’re kind—perhaps because she is the youngest of the fairies. Her voice is like an echo in the night, like when you hear a coyote.
